Great news for anyone waiting on news for the Nikon D800. It looks like an announcement is due anytime and we should be seeing the D800 release date announced within days.

Some credible evidence in Chicago over the past weeks has surfaced in regards to a commercial shoot throughout the city. According to the site Nikon D5000, there were 10 total D800s used in the filming of the commercial and they had to shut down a lot of the city for the shoot. This is great news for all of us who have been waiting long and hard for news on this much needed replacement for the Nikon D700. This is great news, as the D700 is outdated and even then, the supply is running out, so we really need this camera to be released. It is not a moment too soon…so stay tuned as we wait this out just a little bit longer. The long and hard part of the wait seems to be over and the Nikon D800 seems to becoming a reality that we all want so badly.

Nikon D800

If you’re wondering what the next new Nikon DSLR is all about, then look no further because we’re going to fill you in on everything you ever wanted to know about the Nikon D800 here and now.

Even though this amazing Nikon D800 isn’t going to be available for a little while now, some of the brand-new specs and even a couple of pictures have already surfaced which is why I’ll be able to share some information about this excellent new camera that’s about to hit the market.

Nikon D800 Leaked Photos

The first thing I heard so far about the Nikon D800 is that it’s going to be an ISO 100-6400. But that’s not all, because I also read that this camera is gonna be a lot lighter and smaller in the area of the body but there will also be a much larger display as well which will be a lot easier to see. The display itself is supposed to be bigger than 3 inches which is really cool and convenient.

D800 Specs

Another thing I heard about the Nikon D800 is that it will have the same 51 point AF system as both the D700 and the D3, so it’s really nothing new as far as technology goes in this particular area. The resolution for this particular brand-new device is going to be 7360 x 4912 and it will also have a 36 megapixel sensor which is certainly the top-of-the-line in this area. There will be slots for CF cards and SD cards as well and it also has USB 3.0 connectivity which will certainly make your life a whole lot easier.

Now it’s time to move into some of the rumors regarding the Nikon D800. The first rumor that I’ve heard about so far is that Nikon plans to actually release two full versions of this particular camera. There will be one without the anti-aliasing filter and obviously one with the filter. The reason they want to sell it without the filter is because it will be able to easily bump up the resolution although you will experience some color deterioration because of it.

Nikon D800: No Firm Release Date Yet

Unfortunately, for the time being, there is no actual official release date of when the Nikon D800 is going to be finally sold to the public at large. I know some of you are going to be disappointed by this news, but in light of the recent earthquakes in Japan it doesn’t really surprise me that this has happened. Let’s all please be patient and wait for this amazing new camera to finally hit the market.

The Nikon D800 is a brand-new camera following in a long line of great cameras in the Nikon family of DSLRs. So is the Nikon D800 really worth the estimated price tag of $4-$6000? This camera is going to increase the megapixel war that goes on year in and year out between the camera manufacturers. Do we really need a 36 megapixel camera? Some people think this is way too much data for a single picture and it will just eat up space on the memory card, while others think that this camera offers so much more than just 36 megapixels. The Nikon D800 could be a game changer in terms of how it pushes the envelope of high end digital single lens reflex cameras. So unfortunately we’re going to have to wait a little until an announcement or any sorting news comes out of Nikon, because of the flooding in Thailand. There is no sign of the water receding in Bangkok and the surrounding areas where Nikon has a production plant. So unfortunately for all of us who have been waiting on the D800, and also for Nikon and the people who work for it, this has been the most tragic year possible. Nikon has gone through almost every possible imaginable tragedy. They went through the Japan earthquake in March of 2011, which threw them off their schedule. Now seemingly out of nowhere they are told this crippling blow to their supply chain which he is going to set back their production schedule even further.

Nikon D800: Stay Tuned!

So there really isn’t any news on the Nikon D800. We will keep you up-to-date as things unfold but for now there really is only speculation and anticipation for those waiting on the Nikon D800 to be released, announced, anything, Bueller…

Nikon D800: Happy Ending Coming Soon!

Stay tuned because we hear@D800.co think this story will have a happy ending, it’s just not here yet.

NIKON D800 FEVER

Nikon is famous for keeping their customers anxiously waiting for product information, as they release products details only when a new product is close to be released. It is not different from the launch of their latest high- tech lens- Nikon D800. From February/March there has been constant buzz about the release of this new camera. Rumors have been fast and forthcoming about the specs, the reasons for its launch delay etc. One thing is for certain the anticipation and expectations are at an all-time high, as photographers, both amateurs and professionals alike, are revved up to see what Nikon has to offer with its new D800 series.

Improving on the D700, the D800

The Nikon D800 is the successor to the Nikon D700. The D700 is known for its image quality and superb 3” LCD. It is ideal for wedding, studio, nature and landscape professionals as well as persons who are just embarking into the realm of photography. It has superior autofocus performance as it focuses on a moving person’s nearest eye versus other cameras which focuses on a sleeve or background.

Where the Nikon D700 comes with a sensor size of 8.64cm (36 x 24mm), the D800 series sensor size is 36.0 x 23.9 mm full frame format with a CMOS sensor type. The Resolution is 16.2 mega-pixels. The focus system is multi-cam 3500FX 51 point AF. With a full HD -1920x1080p with Stereo sound and AF it is ideal for video recording of high quality- from making movies, to capturing birthday parties. The ISO sensitivity is 200 to 12800, extendable to 102400. Sensor resolution is 16.2 megapixels.

The D700 is easily considered one of the one of the best DSLR cameras to been ever released. It features a low noise at high ISO levels and wide angle coverage. Much more is anticipated from the D800 series. It is anticipated that the Nikon D800 will be a perfect full frame digital SLR camera.

Nikon D800 Rumors

It is also rumoured that there will be two versions of the Nikon D800 to be released; one which has the antiliasing filters removed. This feature helps to create smoother edges in images and can remove moiré patterning. The only downfall with this feature is that it may result in loss of sharpness.

Nikon D800 Price

The price of the new camera is estimated to be around 300,000 yen which would now make the Nikon D800 price around £2,500. This would be generally in the same price range of the predecessor D700 series when it was being launched.

Get Ready for the Nikon D800

With all of the speculations and rumors, one thing is for certain are that people want to see the release of this product soon. Ideally they would want to see better video quality and capability to that of their rival Canon and 5D technologies which has been used to shoot movies. Better low light imaging is expected as this will not only make the camera better; but more profound than Canon and their digital single lens reflex line of cameras.

Bad news for anyone waiting on the Nikon D800. We were expecting a announcement before the end of the month by Nikon with some details on the release date of this much anticipated camera, but unfortunately due to the storms and flooding in Thailand we are hearing that the D800 will be delayed along with the rest of Nikon’s cameras. This is a devasting blow to the supply chain for all of Nikon’s products, as they are expecting delays on all of their cameras, not just the new releases. This comes at a critical time with the holidays coming up. Hopefully Nikon can get things sorted out in Thailand, where there factory is 8 feet under water as we speak. There really is nothing that Nikon can do until the rain stops and the waters recede.

Nikon D800 Alternatives

However, if you are in dire need of a great camera, you can still get the Nikon D700, or anyone of Nikon’s DSLR cameras. There are a lot of great options for those that were waiting on the D800, and you can definitely find one to hold you over until the D800 comes out.

Nikon D800: Pushed Back Further

Thankfully there was no one hurt in the flooding that works for Nikon, which is the most important thing. We are wishing Nikon a speedy recovery from the flooding. They have been hit especially hard by natural disasters this year, with the earthquake in Japan, and now this flooding in Thailand. Pretty unbelievable stuff that Nikon has had to go through this year….a nightmare year for them on all accounts.

Nikon D800 Release Date and News

So now that we know some of the stats of the soon to be released Nikon D800, it is time for Nikon to release some information on this camera in terms of a release date. We will of course keep you posted on any news in this realm, but with an announcement from Canon coming soon on new cameras, expect one from Nikon before or shortly after the announcement from Canon. It is great to be a consumer with 2 great companies competing against each other. They get to battle it out in the marketplace, and we as consumers get to reap the benefits and rewards of their hard work. They obviously enjoy their jobs, so we do not feel too bad for them, but it has to be hard work to be always coming up with new products and designs. Well enough of a sidetrack…..stay tuned and get ready for the Nikon D800 release date.

Everyone wants the biggest and baddest toy, and when it comes to cameras the most sought after title is the highest megapixel camera sensor. The camera sensor size provides the largest and highest quality pictures. The higher the megapixel resolution, then the more detail you will get out of your pictures. This is a highly sought after title. The size keeps climbing with the increases in technology.

So what is the largest digital camera resolution sensor? The Nikon D800 is on course to become the new leader in megapixels with a 36 MP sensor. This is a huge sensor and should be overkill for most photographers. However, for the discerning professional photographer it will suit their needs and then some.

The Nikon D800 with 36 Megapixel Power

So check out the new Nikon D800 with the 36 megapixel sensor, the new leader in the megapixel wars. It should be coming out sometime in November or December, so stay tuned for the D800 release date.

This camera will retail at around $4,000, which puts it out of the reach of most amateur photographers. It is a professional build camera and has new and improved 1080p high definition video. All in all, this is a camera to keep an eye on and see what the final specs will be.

After a very long wait on any credible information on the D800, we have some good news to announce. There is almost 100% certainty that the next model released by Nikon will be the D800, replacing the Nikon D700. This is exciting news for all photo-philes, because it means that there will be a much needed replacement to the D700. After a solid run, the D700 will be retired. The D700 takes great pictures, but with video becoming more and more important, the 700 no longer cuts it. The biggest competitor to Nikon and the D700 is Canon with their 5D Mark II. The 5D MK 2 beats the Nikon hand over fist in video, which is a big selling point. the MK II has been used to shoot TV shows and has aftermarket conversion kits turning it into a full fledged video camera.

Now onto the most important thing, the Nikon D800 specs. Although there is not a lot of certainty, there is enough to get pretty excited about this new camera.

D800 Specs

36 megapixel sensor with an FX lens mount. This will be the new record holder for digital cameras, surpassing any previous camera and pushing the threshold of picture quality even further.

1080p High Definition Video. A much needed upgrade to the onboard video. Digital cameras are becoming more and more hybrid as technology advancers, where they are in between a still camera and a video camera. Finally, Nikon has gotten on board and will be releasing a competitor into this market.

Huge 3.3 inch LCD screen. The Nikon D800 will come with a huge lcd screen, allowing you to preview your pictures or even take pictures from it. This will be great for taking video and will be nice to use with aftermarket video setups.

4 Frames per second shooting, at the highest resolution on the market of 36 MP.

External microphone capable. Making it even more capable for video, Nikon has included an external microphone port on the D800.

SD Memory card slot. This comes in addition to the included cheap flash memory.

Upgraded auto focus. The new AF will come with the ability to recognize faces and adjust the picture as needed.

The Nikon D800 will be released sometime in the November or December time frame, so stay tuned for more info on th D800 release date. This is good news because there are specific specs on the D800, which are tangible. This means that we are getting somewhere with the camera and it should be released soon, just in time for the holiday season.

Someone recently found a book on the Amazon site covering the D800, that is going to be released on April 4, 2012. We hope that this has no reflection on the actual release of the camera, and it could be a little bit of a stretch by some. But it is some information, and all of us who are waiting on the Nikon D800, so desperately want to get some information to help with the uncertainty. This news does not help, but at least it is something to think about while we wait and wonder about this camera.

What do we want to see in the D800? Ideally we want to see better video capability to rival that of Canon and the 5D MKII, which has been used to shoot some high level TV shows. We don’t want anymore mega-pixels, because the pictures are already big enough size. Ideally, if and when the Nikon D800 is released, it will come with better low light imaging and higher quality video. This will help the camera and Nikon for that matter compete with Canon and their high end digital single lens reflex (DSLR) line of cameras.

Waiting and watching for any news on the Nikon D800 can be boring, so we will keep scouring through the internet to find anything we can on the release date and specifications on what should be a great camera for years to come, the Nikon D800.

Looking Ahead to the Nikon D800

While we are waiting for the long awaited release of the Nikon D800, it is time to look back on a great camera in the Nikon D700. By doing this, we hope to remember a great camera, but at the same time find ways to improve this great line of professional grade cameras from Nikon.

The D700 was first released in July of 2008 and was produced in Japan by prestigious camera Manufacturer Nikon. It was a revolutionary camera in many ways and was the second full frame, digital single lens reflex camera by Nikon at the time. The camera retailed at three thousand dollars at the time of its release, although the prices have dropped substantially as the release date for the Nikon D800, the predecessor, approaches.

Some of the specifications of the Nikon D700 include a 12.1 mega-pixel CMOS (complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor) sensor. The sensor is the patented FX image sensor with the EXPEED image processor. The D700 will shoot at a maximum of 5 frames each second. The shutter speed is very impressive with a wide range from 1/8000 all the way to 30 seconds, allowing a wide variety of different shot capabilities. The Nikon also features the proprietary F mount which allows for a wider range of accepted lenses. The focus includes 3 different setting, manual, single servo, and continuous servo. There is a 3 inch rear facing LCD screen, with a high resolution of 307k pixels.

Wishlist for the Nikon D800

These are some of the remarkable specs on the D700, and mind you that this camera is over 3 years old. It is still top of the line today, but it is time for Nikon to replace this storied camera. While looking back on this great camera, here are some of the improvements that could be made for the Nikon D800. We would like to see a bigger image sensor, with better low light capabilities. There is also room for improvement with the battery life. In conjunction with the battery life, we also want to have a higher frames per second, somewhere closer to 12 frames per second. 5 frames per second out of the box does not cut it any more for this type of camera. There are no major upgrades that we see on this camera, just an overall fine tuning of a great platform. This camera was well built to begin with, so now it is time to build upon this foundation and update the D700 to a higher level.

Nikon D800 Delayed?

The Nikon D700 is one of the only cameras made by Nikon that is still made in Japan, and with that said, it is possible to understand why the D800 has been delayed and there has been little news about its release date. The Nikon factory in Japan is very close to where the epicenter of the March 2011 earthquake occurred. Needless to say, this has slowed down progress on the production of the Nikon D800. Thankfully it seems that Nikon has recovered from this tragedy and they are starting to get back on track. Nikon was not the only camera manufacturer to be set back by the earthquake. Canon was affected by the earthquake and is now just getting their production on track. We are hoping to news of some sorts in the coming weeks on the Nikon D800 release date.
