The Nikon D800, Upgrading the D700
Released in the year 2007, the D700 was a formidable option for professional photographers for many years. However, as time has progressed and technology and photography has advanced, the time has come for an upgrade to this fine model of cameras. The way forward from here is in the new model of the D800, which will replace the older D700. We are expecting great things from Nikon, as they are at the top of the line of cameras and have had many years to research and design a newer camera. This camera will be a direct competitor to Canon and their high-end DSLR cameras, so undoubtedly Nikon will be releasing a high quality product.
However, Nikon produces their DSLR cameras, including the D700 in Japan and their plant was located close to the epicenter of the quake. They temporarily suspended operations at the plant, as some of their workers were injured and they had to assess the damage. This will most likely slow down the release of the D800, so do not expect anything soon, maybe an announcement at most.
We are wishing Japan and Nikon a speedy recovery. We know the importance of a camera is inconsequential in terms of what they are going through, but we hope that everyone there will be able to get life back to normal and move forward for their own sake. Time supposedly heals all, however that is in dispute, but we hope that time and putting the pieces together will help everyone heal. Instead of focusing on the tragedy of the earthquake, we look forward to celebrating the new release of the Nikon D800, a day that all people are greatly looking forward to in anticipation.
We will keep you posted on any future developments and news in regards to the release of the Nikon D800 camera.
